History

Mielke Oil Company was founded in 1969 as a local home heating fuels distributor serving the small town of Swanville, MN and the surrounding communities. Over the years, Mielke Oil provided the surrounding communities with the products they needed to keep warm in the winters and get the crops in the ground and harvested during the spring, summer, and fall. Seeing an opportunity to expand, Mielke Oil began offering branded fuels to local gasoline retailers. With many of the business’ customers also offering automotive repair services, Mielke Oil also began offering automotive tires and Lubricants to customers. In 1980, Mielke Oil started offering Conoco and Phillips 66 branded lubricants (expanding to more than 10 major brands by 2011) along with the fuel services the business already provided.

Doug and Mary Mielke, the current shareholders of Mielke Oil Company, Inc., purchased the business in 1990 and began the push to become one of the largest lubricants and fuels distributors in the Midwest. Mielke Oil Company was incorporated in 1992, giving the business the ability to grow faster and service customers better through this growth. Over the next few years, Mielke Oil Company continued to grow and add additional products and services, including automotive filters, chemicals, wiper blades, light bulbs, gas cans, racing fuels, and other products. In 1999, Mielke Oil Company moved into its current facilities in Little Falls, MN with over 55,000 square feet of warehouse space and more than 400,000 gallons of bulk lubricant storage. Today, Mielke Oil Company services more than 1,000 customers throughout the United States and Canada with quality products and top notch service.
